Sydney has a new private members’ club

A new chapter in Sydney’s social and professional landscape begins with the launch of The Pillars, a private members’ club designed for Australia’s movers and shakers.

Sydney’s movers and shakers have a new place to call home – a new private members’ club nestled in the heart of the CBD. Opened 1 May 2025, The Pillars was founded with the goal of reimagining the traditional members’ club experience by fostering a community centred on innovation and inclusive leadership. Founded by six prominent Australian entrepreneurs, including Bradley Delamare (Tank Stream Labs), Steve Grace (The Nudge Group) and Emma Blomfield (EB Design Studio), The Pillars can now be found at 11 Barrack Street in Martin Place. Set within a heritage-listed four-storey building, The Pillars comprises a restaurant, workspaces, lounge, wellness facility, library and rooftop terrace – among other spaces. Art and design are integral to The Pillars’ identity, with interiors curated by co-founder Emma Blomfield. The club showcases artworks from renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Tracey Emin and Louise Olsen.

Ground Floor
Home to ELEVEN Barrack, a two-hatted restaurant by The Bentley Group, offering members exceptional dining experiences in an elegant alfresco setting.

First Floor
Features a private library, flexible workspaces and meeting rooms, catering to various professional needs.

Second Floor
Houses The Great Room for wine and cuisine, and the Atrium Lounge, providing refined spaces for social gatherings and private events.

Top Floor
Dedicated to wellness, this level includes a sauna, performance and recovery ice bath, rooftop garden terraces, Pilates, yoga and recovery sessions, promoting holistic well-being alongside professional pursuits.

Membership

Membership to The Pillars is by expression of interest. Members receive access to a global network of over 50 elite clubs and a calendar of exclusive events and experiences. General membership grants access to all member facilities with up to three guests per member at any one time, plus full-time concierge member services, invitations to regular member events and the option to host private events on-site. The club also offers programs tailored to support female founders and leaders in technology, venture and design. The Pillars is open Monday to Saturday, with additional programming planned for later this year.
